Our Mission

The Inclusive Denver Movement is a social enterprise that creates opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities to connect, work, and thrive in the Mile High City. Through community outings, job skill development, and opportunities to participate in career interests, we empower individuals to build friendships and live meaningful lives.

Programs of the Movement

Active Program: Inclusive Entertainment

Area of Interest: Community Access and Social Skills and Development.

Inclusive Entertainment is the heart of the Inclusive Denver Movement — a program that brings older teens and adults with disabilities who face barriers to access into the community to experience joy, independence, and belonging.

Through fully supported outings to Denver Nuggets and Broncos games, concerts, festivals, and local events, participants build confidence, practice social skills, and create meaningful connections in real-world settings.

Our goal is simple: make community events accessible, safe, inclusive, and unforgettable — especially for individuals who have limited opportunities due to financial, transportation, or systemic barriers.
Priority is given to participants who face financial, transportation, or support barriers that limit their ability to attend events independently.

IDM handles planning, tickets, transportation coordination, and support so participants can focus on experiencing life together in the Mile High City.

The Bigger Vision

The Inclusive Denver Movement is more than a set of programs — it’s a long-term vision to build a true community hub where inclusion happens every day. Our future headquarters will bring all IDM programs under one roof and create a vibrant space where people of all abilities can learn, work, and thrive together.

Imagine a center where participants rotate between Inclusive Auto Detailing, Inclusive Apparel production, and Inclusive Storage Auctioning activities — while neighbors stop in for a car detail, browse items prepared for retail, or watch apparel being made. Families could enjoy meals or beverages in an Inclusive Café, and young adults could connect over games, music, and conversation in welcoming lounge areas built for community.

Each program is rooted in what participants have consistently expressed through career interest surveys:
automotive work, clothing and design, food services, retail environments, and hands-on, movement-based jobs.

By building around these interests, IDM creates meaningful job training while developing skills that align with real opportunities in the broader workforce. Inclusive Storage Auctioning provides active work and retail preparation. Inclusive Auto Detailing teaches customer service and task mastery. Inclusive Apparel nurtures creativity, design skills, and production experience. And future Inclusive Food Services will offer hospitality and kitchen training.

Our future headquarters will bring it all together, creating a model of what authentic community integration can look like in the Mile High City — a place where everyone is contributing, connecting, and belonging.
